It’s been an incredible weekend in the beautiful North East at BIFA Qualifying North East International Film Festival where Borrowed Time's director Ginevra Gentili attended the festival with one of our co-producers! Finally able to see our film on the big screen and plenty of incredible shorts, at such unique venues while we were surrounded by talented filmmakers and beautiful human beings. Thank you so much to Lisa-Marie, Ian, Sofia, the rest of the #NEIFF team and the wonderful volunteers who worked so hard and put on such a brilliant festival experience with the support of the sponsors, partners and venues.
We didn't expect to walk home with any award, let alone the audience award, with so many original and powerful films screening at the festival, we’re so honoured our film touched the festival audience. You can find the full list of Award Winners HERE.
Huge congratulations to the entire Borrowed Time team who worked so hard to make this story come to life, this award goes to each and every one of you. The festival run is only just kicking off with plenty more coming in 2023, we're extremely exciting to see where this journey will take our film.
If you've never been to NEIFF, we strongly recommend this incredible and fairly run festival, with extremely passionate people behind it who really care about the filmmakers.
If you still haven't seen Borrowed Time, check out the teaser below and follow us to keep up with festival screening and news!
